Young oil painting artist Zhang Xiexiong was born in 1977 Zhouning county, Fujian province, China. He began painting as a child and today has 15 years experience.

His paintings mainly represent Chinese social customs and traditions. His realism style has gained an exceptional and growing reputation within and outside China. His oil paintings are often introduced in newspapers and magazines, accredited and collected by government organizations, enterprises and individual collectors.

Zhang’s work has been exhibited at the Fine Works Exhibition, The Shanghai International Arts Exposition and the Fujian Province Art Festival.

In 2005 he successfully published “Zhang Xiexiong”s Oil Painting Collection”. In December 2005 he was invited by Sirivudh, Minister of Culture of Cambodia, to attend “Global Peace Tour of World Famous Chinese Artists with their Drawings” in Cambodia station. During this visit, he was honored to be interviewed by the Prince, Norodom Ranariddh and awarded the ‘Angkor Culture Medal.
